Guangzhou City University of Technology (GCUT) held “Million Talents Gathering in Guangdong” 2026 Comprehensive Job Fair at its Fengyu Corridor of the Teaching Building on May 14 to implement national strategies of promoting the employment of college graduates and establish a platform that connects supplies and requirements of talents while advancing better and higher-quality employment. The job fair was hosted by GCUT’s Career Development Center and organized by its e-Station for Employment and Entrepreneurship via online and offline ways. It has attracted various outstanding enterprises from different industries such as intelligent manufacturing, information technology and modern services attended the fair, offering nearly 2,000 high-quality positions for these graduates.
The job fair was in full swing. Graduates communicated with representatives of various enterprises based on their job preferences. Besides, other service stalls also attracted their attention, which received a great deal of consulting.

The fair set up series of stalls on different themes to provide full support ranging from career development to psychological services. For example, the stalls for the publicity of “Conscription” (performing military service and joining the militia in accordance with the law of the People’s Republic of China) and “Go West” volunteer program encouraged them to devote themselves to grassroots and significant fields that satisfy national development. Moreover, it also set up a stall for “psychological counselling services on employment” that faculties from GCUT’s Mental Health Education and Counselling Center provided psychological services, which helped to ease graduates’ pressure and build their confidence.

In terms of innovative services, a special part was set up that outshone during the fair, namely, “AI boosts employment”. It combines functions including intelligent analysis of Curriculum Vitae, color printing, and feedback on AI mock interviews, providing one-stop digital job-hunting experience. It greatly enhanced the interaction and effects of job-seeking services through real-time analysis, printing, and feedback on mock interviews, thus attracting abundant students to take part in it.

Wang Hao, director of GCUT’s Career Development Center, paid a visit to the fair during the event. He exchanged views with present enterprises, asking for requirements of previous employment and latest trend of recruitment as well as advice on GCUT’s talent development. Wang pointed out that GCUT would keep strengthening the interaction with enterprises to expand positions for graduates and upgrade its employment services, thus guaranteeing the smooth and high-quality employment of graduates from the Class of 2026.

The job fair has established an efficient and targeted platform for GCUT’s graduates and related enterprises. In the future, GCUT’s Career Development Center will continue to deepen its cooperation with enterprises to enlarge employment opportunities while improving its whole-process system of employment guidance and services so as to fully support better and higher-quality employment of its graduates.
