Guangzhou City University of Technology(GCUT) held the final of the 2025 GCUT Top 10 Singers Competition at its Student Activity Center on the evening of December 4 to enrich its campus life while celebrating its 20th anniversary of the founding. Over 1,000 faculty and student representatives were present.

Students from GCUT have taken an active part in the competition since its application. There were 13 candidates advancing to the final round, competing for the title of “Top 10 Campus Singers” and the top three prizes.

The final consists of two rounds. 13 candidates performed on stage one by one in the first round, five among which entered the second round graded by judges. The five finalists went all out for the second round.

Finally, Li Yifei won the championship, while Ding Lele and Zeng Entong won the second and third place respectively. Wang Yu, Secretary of GCUT Youth League Committee awarded certificates of honor to them and congratulated them.

After the two rounds, the dancing team of GCUT’s Student Art Troupe gave a performance entitled Age of Awakening, pushing the event to the climax.

All candidates sung along to the song You Wo (We are Chinese Youth), and then all the present sung Happy Birthday in chorus, sending sincere wishes for GCUT’s 20th anniversary.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of GCUT’s founding, which makes the 2025 GCUT Top 10 Singers Competition Final special. The competition integrates elements of GCUT’s 20th anniversary and a video mirroring GCUT’s development. Students connect their growth with GCUT’s development, igniting audience’s enthusiasm and sense of pride.

In the future, GCUTers will continue to strive for writing a new chapter in GCUT’s quality development.
